Mission:

To expand the capabilities, confidence and quality of life for children and adults with disabilities by providing programs in dance, drama, creative writing, music and visual art.

 

Services:

Incorporated in 1985, the mission of VSA arts of Wisconsin is to expand the capabilities, confidence and quality of life for children and adults with disabilities by providing programs in dance, drama, creative writing, music and visual arts.  VSA arts of Wisconsin is a member of the international network of VSA arts, an affiliate of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

 

VSA programs began with a one-day Festival for school-aged children.  Programming efforts have since expanded to include pre-schoolers and adults.  Current program areas include: education programs, professional development and technical assistance, cultural access, inclusive art services, and public awareness/outreach.  Programs are conducted in more than 40 communities across the state.  Field offices are located in Milwaukee and Wausau.
