Mission:
To enhance excellence in education and learning through the use of charitable contributions and grants.
Services:
Our organization consists of a 15 member, volunteer board of directors. Board members meet monthly for the purpose of securing donations, evaluating and providing financial grants to staff of Port Edwards Schools for the enrichment of educational curriculum, and keeping the school community and alumni informed of our activities. A fund drive is conducted in fall and up to 90 percent of these donations are used directly for grants to staff proposals. Each year, staff of Port Edwards Schools are invited to write grant proposals for enrichment of the educational curriculum. These proposals are reviewed by a committee of the Foundation Board and recommendations are reviewed and approved by the full Board. Upon approval, funds are directed to staff for implementation of their project. We are currently providing two scholarships to graduating seniors. We also have an annual scholarship available to an underclass person wishing to attend a special educational summer seminar.
