Mission:

To improve the lives of the people in South Wood County and Adams County by connecting resources with needs in a responsible, efficient and results-oriented manner.

 

Services:

Since it was first incorporated in 1942, United Way of Inner Wisconsin has been about helping people help themselves.  It’s not about giving a hand out – it’s about giving a hand up.  Each year, thousands of people are helped by the health and human-service programs supported by United Way donations.  More than 100 volunteers from all segments of the community work together to decide which programs will have the greatest impact on improving life in our community.

 

In South Wood County and Adams County, United Way of Inner Wisconsin works to ensure that: children and youth succeed, our vulnerable and aging populations are supported and people’s most basic needs are fulfilled.  United Way is about: helping a mother provide a life free from violence for herself and her children; providing emergency shelter to those who have lost their homes; providing volunteers to those who need help; and providing information-and-referral services to those who aren’t sure who to call.

 

When the community needs help, United Way is there.  But without the support and generosity of the community, United Way would not exist.
