Mission:

The South Wood County Humane Society is a private, non-profit animal protection organization.  The purpose is to prevent cruel or inhumane treatment of animals and provide temporary or permanent shelter for old, homeless, abandoned, sick or injured animals.

 

Services:

At the South Wood County Humane Society, we

  • provide a safe haven for neglected, unwanted or stray animals;
  • would like to find good, loving homes for all of the pets that enter our doors;
  • work with the public on the importance of spaying or neutering;
  • impress to people to make a commitment to keep their pets for life;
  • answer pet owners questions or refer them to the help they need.
