Recent Grants in Action - 2007 Report to the Community:
Grants—that’s what the Community Foundation puts into action all around South Wood County. We are committed to building a stronger community through effective grantmaking that supports collaboration, maximizing resources, and strengthening nonprofits.
During 2006-07, the Community Foundation disbursed $2.0 million in grant dollars within the South Wood County and Rome area to support services and programs in health & human services, community development, education, and arts & culture.
A Community Grant supported this summer's Cranberry Blossom Festival. The first annual event drew hundreds to the area and promoted our area's unique agricultural heritage.
